  • Final documents of the eagle studies conducted by consulting biologists was submitted at the end of November 2019. This will now be reviewed by the United States Fish and Wildlife Service in the Summer of 2020 to begin the process of obtaining the Federal Eagle Take Permit.

 

  • Two years of wind data summary from consulting analysts was completed and published late 2019.

 

  • Ongoing wind studies in the fall, winter and spring 2019/2020 at the 100-meter tower location resulted in a capacity factor of 59% with wind speeds at 8.7 m/s.

 

  • The Southwest Power Pool’s Definitive Interconnection System Impact Study (DISIS) is scheduled to begin summer of 2020. This study will provide the project with the possible required transmission upgrades needed to inject the energy onto the area transmission system.

 

  • Construction and site visits by potential contractors are currently underway. Contractors in the area are encouraged to reach out to us.

 

  • Project development team will be meeting once again with county commissioners in April 2020 to discuss project updates and timelines.

 

  • Turbine sites will be identified Summer 2020 through GPS coordinates followed by preliminary road access design. Additional site construction studies are being planned along with turbine location test drilling.
