Stillwater Wind Facility, formerly known as Swensen Wind Ranch, went online in 2017 and was a project initiated by John S. Husar in 2003. The Stillwater Wind Facility is located north of Reedpoint, Montana and boasts an 80 MW capacity. Pattern Energy currently owns and operates the project and employees 10-15 full time employees.

Prior Mountain Wind Farm, formerly known as Mud Springs Wind Development, came online in late 2020 and is the most recent wind project that has reached commercial operation in Montana. The project totals 240 MW in capacity and was originally conceptualized by John S. Husar in 2008; the project is now owned by PacifiCorp.

Current Projects in Pre-Development

 Beyond the current pre-development activities associated with the Upper Badlands Wind Development, the team is also engaged in pre-development of three additional wind projects and one hybrid project utilizing wind turbines, solar and battery backup. These projects total approximately 220 MW and are all located in Montana.
